At the School of Creative Learning, we believe that education goes far beyond the pages of a textbook. This week, our campus transformed into a vibrant hub of imagination and practical learning as we kicked off our 15-day annual creative extravaganza – Srijanotsav.
The festivities began with a powerful message that resonates with our core mission
Be Creative or Perish.

A Grand Inauguration: “Creativity is the Key to Change”
The event was formally inaugurated by our Chief Guest, Shri Vijoy Prakash (Retired IAS officer and Chairman of APCL), and our Principal, Dr. Mridula Prakash.
In his keynote address, Shri Vijoy Prakash delivered a stirring message to the students. He emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving world, creativity is not just an elective skill—it is the ultimate power that provides an individual with a lasting identity. “Creativity is the mother of change,” he noted, urging students to embrace innovation as the only way to shape the future.
Lokotsav: Where History Meets the Future
The first day of the festival featured ‘Lokotsav’, an exhibition showcasing over 150 student projects. Our young innovators presented research-based models on a wide range of topics:
• The Indus Valley Civilization: A deep dive into ancient urban planning.
• Integrated Farming & Conservation: Sustainable solutions for modern agriculture.
• Social Awareness: Thought-provoking projects on population growth and environmental protection.
Culinary Arts: A Vital Life Skill for Everyone
A major highlight of Lokotsav was the Food Fest (Vyanjan Mela). Over 200 students from LKG to Class 12 participated, setting up nearly 50 food stalls. From Chowmein and Pasta to traditional Pani Puri and Momos, the campus was filled with delicious aromas and even better ideas.
Shri Vijoy Prakash highlighted a crucial philosophy of our school: Cooking is a fundamental life skill, not a gender-specific chore. > “In today’s world, children often leave home early for higher education or careers. It is essential for every child, regardless of gender, to be proficient in culinary arts.”
Through this food fest, our students didn’t just learn to cook; they gained hands-on experience in:
• Financial Management: Handling procurement and sales.
• Teamwork: Working together to manage busy stalls.
• Presentation & Aesthetics: As Dr. Mridula Prakash noted, cooking is as much about presentation as it is about taste.
Student Leadership in Action
We are incredibly proud of our Class 9 students—Aditya, Nidhi, and Priya—who took the lead in planning and managing the logistics of the event. Their “business mindset” and leadership were instrumental in making the day a massive success.
The Journey Continues: 14 More Days of Magic!
The launch of Srijanotsav is just the beginning. Our Principal, Dr. Mridula Prakash, shared the “Creative Roadmap” for the upcoming 14 days, which will include:
• Innofest: A celebration of technological innovation.
• Math Mela: Making numbers fun and interactive.
• Creative Olympiad: Challenging the boundaries of student intellect.
We invite all parents, well-wishers, and community members to stay tuned to our blog and social media for daily updates from Srijanotsav.
Let’s celebrate the spirit of creation!
