At the Association for Promotion of Creative Learning (APCL), our mission has always been to transform the educational landscape with the joy of discovery. Today, we are proud to celebrate a significant achievement by our President, Mr Vijoy Prakash, whose seminal work is reaching more young minds than ever before.
His book, “Srijanatmak Ganit” (Creative Mathematics), published by the National Book Trust (NBT), has been officially commissioned for a special edition by the National Virtual Library (Indian Culture Portal/National e-Library) and the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Expanding the Reach of Creative Learning
This latest recognition builds upon a legacy of success, following previous special prints commissioned by the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Now in its 8th edition, the book has become a cornerstone for educators seeking to demystify mathematics for children.
The widespread adoption of this book by various state governments underscores a growing national shift toward more holistic, child-centric education.
Breaking the “Fear” of Mathematics
For too long, mathematics has been viewed as a hurdle rather than a tool. Based on Mr. Prakash’s Theory of Creative Learning and the Multiple Intelligence framework by Howard Gardner, “Srijanatmak Ganit” challenges the status quo.
The book’s methodology moves beyond the blackboard, teaching children to internalize mathematical concepts through creative learning tools and techniques.
About the Author: A Visionary in Education
As the President of APCL, Mr. Vijoy Prakash brings a wealth of administrative and academic expertise to the field of pedagogy. A retired officer of the Indian Administrative Service, he has served in high-ranking positions including Agriculture Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary of the Education Department.

His commitment to social welfare and literacy is the driving force behind our organization’s efforts to make learning accessible and creative for every child.
Our Continued Commitment
At APCL, we believe that every child has the potential to excel if given the right tools. The success of “Srijanatmak Ganit” is a testament to the power of creative pedagogy. We extend our deepest gratitude to the National Book Trust and the various state governments for their unwavering support in making this vision a reality.
Together, we are not just teaching math; we are nurturing the next generation of creative thinkers.
