School of Creative Learning, Danapur, recently hosted ‘Lokotsav’, a vibrant cultural festival celebrating India’s traditional folk heritage, diversity, and artistic roots.
Highlights of Lokotsav
The celebration began with a traditional welcome Aarti, followed by a symbolic lamp-lighting ceremony. Representing the four cardinal directions alongside Bihar at the center, five student representatives lit the ceremonial lamp together to embody the spirit of Unity in Diversity.
Shri Vijoy Prakash (Chairman, APCL) addressed the gathering, emphasizing that folk traditions and cultural diversity are our true identity. He noted that events like Lokotsav instill a deep respect among students for their cultural roots.
Dr Mridula Prakash (Principal, SCL) concluded the event by thanking the teachers, staff, and students for their creativity and dedication.
Theatrical & Folk Performances
A traditional Puppet Show captivated the audience.
Students staged the character-driven act ‘Hum Tumhare Liye, Tum Hamare Liye’ (We for You, You for Us).
The poignant theatrical piece ‘Beti Ka Sapna’ (A Daughter’s Dream) moved the audience with its meaningful social message.
Young learners brought history and values to life on stage, enacting legendary national icons such as Mahatma Gandhi and warrior leaders in traditional attire.
‘Dignity of Labour’ Exhibition
An interactive thematic display titled ‘श्रम का सम्मान (Dignity of Labour)’ honored the invaluable contributions of craftspeople, artisans, and daily workers through creative visual models and installations.
