Yoga: A Complete Way of Life – Vijoy Prakash
International Yoga Day Celebrated at School of Creative Learning
The School of Creative Learning celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and energy. Students from Class 1 to Class 12 actively participated in the event, which was filled with joy, discipline, and collective spirit. The event was graced by the presence of the school’s President Vijoy Prakash, Principal Dr Mridula Prakash, along with teachers, staff, and students.
The program began with a lamp-lighting ceremony followed by a welcome address by Vijoy Prakash. He emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life and introduced students to a variety of yogic practices aimed at cultivating peace and inner harmony. He said that yoga is not merely physical exercise but a scientific discipline that fosters overall well-being and a balanced life.
Dr Mridula Prakash highlighted how yoga positively impacts both mental and physical health. She said that yoga nurtures peace of mind and emotional stability, and should be seen as a holistic life process. Under her guidance, daily yoga practice is a regular part of the school’s morning schedule, cultivating discipline and serenity among students.
The event featured a group yoga demonstration led by Riya Kumari and Khushi Kumari, who guided the audience through various postures and breathing techniques. The students followed along with calmness and devotion. Alongside this, an interactive quiz on yoga was organized by teacher Rajnish, where students enthusiastically responded to yoga-related questions, enriching their understanding of yogic traditions.
The event concluded with a guided session of meditation, mantra chanting, and relaxation exercises in a peaceful atmosphere. This experience deeply resonated with the students, helping them feel mentally relaxed and physically energized.
The celebration at the School of Creative Learning not only marked Yoga Day but also strengthened the commitment to imbibe yogic principles in daily life. As Vijoy Prakash stated, “Yoga is a complete way of life. By integrating it into our routine, we can build a harmonious, healthy, and creative society.”
