Creativity Olympiad 2026 held at School of Creative Learning

At the School of Creative Learning (SCL), we believe that education isn’t just about what’s written in a textbook—it’s about the spark of innovation within every student. Recently, our Patna campus was buzzing with energy as we hosted the “Creativity Olympiad,” a unique event designed to push our students to achieve excellence beyond conventional standards.

The event was covered extensively by the Eastern Voice, Navbihar Doot, and Navbihar Times, and we are thrilled to share the highlights of this inspiring day with our online community.

Better Than the Best: A New Benchmark

The event was inaugurated by Sri Vijoy Prakash, retired senior IAS officer and the visionary behind Creative Learning. In his address, he shared a powerful sentiment: in today’s rapidly changing world, creativity is no longer an elective—it is a necessity.

The motto of the day was “Better Than the Best.” Rather than simply competing against one another, students were encouraged to outperform their own previous records. The goal? To strive for a level of excellence that surpasses even the highest existing benchmarks.

The Seven Core Competencies

What makes a “Creative Learner”? Sri Vijoy Prakash detailed the Seven Core Competencies that we focus on to ensure holistic growth:

1. Concentration: The ability to focus in a world of distractions.

2. Memory Power: Strengthening the retention of knowledge.

3. Imagination: The fuel for all innovation.

4. Thinking Ability: Developing sharp, analytical minds.

5. Observation Skills: Noticing the details others miss.

6. Emotional Management: Building the resilience to face life’s challenges.

7. Communication Power: The ability to express ideas effectively.

Innovation in Action: Bouncing Balls & Janak Yoga

Our Principal, Dr. Mridula Prakash, highlighted the various segments of the Olympiad that turned these theories into practice. The campus was alive with activities that were as fun as they were challenging:

• “Bouncing Ball”: A segment focused on mental agility, coordination, and quick reflexes.

• Janak Yoga & Sri Valluvar Vasuki Yoga: These sessions remained the center of attraction, focusing on physical and spiritual balance to ensure our students remain grounded.

“We provide specialized training in General Mental Ability, ensuring that our students are not just academically sound but also equipped with the personality required to face life’s diverse challenges.” — Dr. Mridula Prakash

A Community Effort

A huge thank you to our dedicated teachers – Deepti Yadav, Jyoti, and Rinki, for their meticulous coordination. We also want to give a special shout-out to Riya and Nidhi (Class 9), who charmed the audience with their confident and skillful anchoring of the event.

At SCL, we aren’t just teaching students to pass exams; we are nurturing the pioneers of tomorrow.
