Honoring a Visionary: Vijoy Prakash Receives Lifetime Achievement Award at Mahadevi Verma Ceremony 2026

At Creative Learning, we are buzzing with pride! Our very own President and the guiding light of the Association for Promotion of Creative Learning (APCL), Shri Vijoy Prakash, has been conferred with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement ‘Smriti Shikhar Samman’ for Administration at the Mahadevi Verma Honour Ceremony held recently in Patna.

This recognition isn’t just a trophy on a shelf; it’s a celebration of a lifelong work in Indian Administrative Services and the mission to transform how we think, learn, and grow.

A Night of Intellectual Brilliance

The ceremony, organized by the Global Kayastha Conference (GKC) at the Bapu Tower, was a star-studded gathering of thinkers and leaders. While the event celebrated the broader contributions of the Kayastha community to the nation, the spotlight shone brightly on Vijoy Prakash for his “extraordinary contribution to nation-building through administration and education.”

Dignitaries like Dr. Prem Kumar (Speaker, Bihar Legislative Assembly) and Samrat Choudhary (Deputy CM) highlighted a truth we hold dear: that merit and intellectual prowess are the ultimate drivers of social progress.

The Man Behind the Movement: Who is Vijoy Prakash?

For those new to our community, Vijoy Prakash is more than just a retired 1981-batch IAS officer. He is the architect of the “Creativism” philosophy. His journey from a sensitive administrator to a global thought leader in education has been nothing short of transformative.

Education is not a burden to be carried, but a joy to be experienced.” — This belief led him to author the seminal book, Creative Learning – A Handbook for Teachers and Trainers, which was famously released by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

The Core Creative Competencies (C3)

Under his leadership, APCL developed the Information Processing Model, identifying seven pillars that every learner should master:

  • Observation: Seeing what others overlook.
  • Concentration: The fuel for all intellectual success.
  • Memory: Retaining and retrieving knowledge efficiently.
  • Thinking: Moving beyond rote memorization to analytical depth.
  • Imagination: The birthplace of innovation.
  • Emotional Management: Navigating the internal world to conquer the external one.
  • Power of Expression: Communicating ideas with clarity and impact.

Leading the Way at APCL

As the President of APCL, Vijoy Prakash has ensured that the School of Creative Learning remains a “learning laboratory.” Whether it’s the Creativity Olympiad 2026 or the recent Innofest, his vision is clear: create an environment where every child—regardless of background—is seen as a unique creator.

His work with marginalized communities, specifically focusing on “counting ability, not disability,” has turned APCL into a beacon for inclusive education. By blending age-old Indian systems with modern technology, he has proven that quality education is a right, not a privilege.

A Legacy in Motion

Receiving the Mahadevi Verma Samman is a fitting tribute to a man who, much like the legendary poetess herself, has used his intellect to give society a new direction.

We at Creative Learning invite you to join us in congratulating Shri Vijoy Prakash. His recognition is a reminder to all of us that when you put creativity at the heart of human development, the possibilities are infinite.
