Health Camp Organized in School to Identify Kidney-Related Diseases

On the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, a special health screening camp was organized on Monday at the School of Creative Learning located in Nargada village, Danapur. The camp was conducted under the aegis of the Patliputra National Kidney Foundation with the objective of early detection of kidney-related ailments among school children and spreading public awareness.

The camp was held under the guidance of Padma Shri awardee and renowned kidney specialist Dr Hemant Kumar, founder of the Foundation. Dr Mridula Prakash, the school principal, and retired Indian Administrative Service officer Vijoy Prakash played an active role in the program.

Nearly 200 school children, their parents, and teachers underwent kidney screenings during the camp. Dr Hemant Kumar stated that regular health check-ups help in improving children’s overall health. He also mentioned that kidney-related issues among children have been increasing in recent years, and such awareness initiatives are vital in controlling the spread of such diseases.

The Patliputra National Kidney Foundation has been working for several years towards screening school children and raising awareness about kidney health. These efforts have started to show positive results in society, creating more health-conscious communities.

Participants, including students and teachers, appreciated the initiative and expressed hope that such health camps will continue to be organized regularly.

During the kidney screening camp, Dr Hemant Kumar and other experts were present as children held placards to spread awareness. Dignitaries praised the initiative, calling it a meaningful and impactful public health effort.
