The School of Creative Learning, Patna, celebrated the festival of lights with a magnificent “Deepotsav” event, transforming the school campus into a vibrant canvas of imagination and artistic expression. Nearly 300 students participated, showcasing their creativity through traditional Rangoli art and the crafting of handmade lanterns and decorative items.
The entire atmosphere was filled with colors, ideas, and festive joy as students from Classes 1 to 10 presented their artistic skills on themes such as “Lotus”, “Operation Sindoor”, “War and Peace”, and “Happiness, Harmony, and Prosperity”. Through their creative expressions, children conveyed deep messages of peace, unity, and cultural values.
Addressing the students, Mr Vijoy Prakash, Chairman of AIC-BV Foundation and President of APCL, highlighted that Deepotsav is not merely a festival of lights but a festival that gives wings to children’s imagination and creativity. He emphasized that education should not be limited to textbooks—it should be a process that helps students express, create, and connect learning with life.
Dr Mridula Prakash, Principal of the school, praised the students for their efforts and explained that such festivals are not just cultural celebrations but integral parts of experiential learning. She noted that traditional art forms like Rangoli and lantern-making teach teamwork, aesthetic sense, and sensitivity toward cultural heritage.
She added, “When children engage in creative and collaborative activities, they develop empathy, discipline, and joy in learning. These experiences prepare them to become thoughtful and imaginative citizens.”
Throughout the event, the school campus came alive with stunning Rangolis, handmade lanterns, and themed installations that reflected the students’ understanding of contemporary issues and traditional values. Visitors and teachers alike were captivated by the intricate designs and the spirit of unity among the children.
The Deepotsav at the School of Creative Learning truly demonstrated that festivals can be powerful tools for nurturing imagination, collaboration, and creative confidence among students—illuminating not only lamps of clay but also minds filled with ideas and dreams.
