Schemes for donation
Sponsor the education of a child: Donor may donate Rs 5000 per year to meet fees and
other expenses of a non resident child.
Patron a child for a year:
Donor may donate Rs 20000 per year to meet fees, food, dress,
books and other expenses of a child in hostel.
Sponsor food of a child in hostel: Donor may donate Rs 1500 per month to meet food and
lodging of a child.
Sponsor dress of a child: Donor
may donate Rs 1500 to meet dress and shoes of a child.
Sponsor Shabari Ashram: Donor
may donate Rs 2500 to meet expenses of a
month in Shabari Ashram.
Sponsor Adrishti Shivir: Donor
may donate Rs 5000 to meet expenses of Adrishti Shivir.

Lala Nikhilesh Kumar Sinha- a multifaceted personality
Dr.
LNK Sinha started his academic career from BHU, Varanashi in
1945. Later
he passed B.Sc. from Agra and M Sc. in Applied Psychology from Patna
University, Patna. He was among the earliest scholar who did Ph.
D. in
Psychology in 1964 from P U, Patna.
Dr. Sinha was associated with Patna University since 1957 when he
joined as a research assistant in the Institute of Psychological
Research & Services and later became Director of the same Institute
in 1979. From 1976-1979, he served as Head , Faculty of Criminology,
Institute of Criminology & Forensic Science (Ministry of Home
Affairs), Govt. of India, New Delhi. After joining this
Institute, Dr.
Sinha introduced a series of new and innovative courses, such as
Orientation course on "Research Methodology" (for Inspector General of
Police in which Officers are trained to supervise social research
conducted in their fields, course on "Methodology of Behaviour
Modification" (for Probationer Officers and Dy. Supdts. of Police). He
also introduced topic of "Forensic Psychiatry" in another prestigious
course of this Institute namely “Crime and Justice” which was meant for
Session Additional Judges and “Orientation to Forensic Science” which
was meant for senior Police Officers. In fact, during his short stay at
this Institute he had undertaken as many as 24 research projects and
had prepared reports on them.
Coming back to Patna (Bihar) in 1979, Dr Sinha joined as University
Professor & Director at the Institute of Psychological Research
& Service, Patna and later in 1981, he became Prof. &
Head of
the Department of Psychology, Patna University, Patna. He superannuated
as University Professor & Head, Dean of Social Sciences in Nov.
1991.
Throughout his career, Prof. Sinha had been
actively engaged in teaching, research work, development of
psychological instruments and treating mental patients. In Bihar, he
was recognized as pioneer of applying different psychological
techniques in treating mental patients. His views have had a wide
spread impact on his colleagues and students especially in the clinical
and mental testing areas. He had supervised a large number of Ph.D.
scholars in different fields of Psychology, Home science, Sociology,
Education etc. Besides, he had contributed several research papers and
articles in the Journals of National and International repute.
Prof. Sinha had multifaceted personality. He was a great painter
having produced a number of fine paintings. He was great musician also.
He used to play the flute in his leisure periods. He wrote a number of
poems, short stories and novels of very high standard. Prof. Sinha will
remain in the memories of all those who had studied under him or worked
with him or known him personally not only as scholar in psychology but
also an affectionate person. Men of Prof. Sinha temperament are
comparatively rare in the world.
